Sendzimir Cold Rolling Mills
Sendzimir cold rolling mills, thanks to a solid and compact structure, are able to produce significant reductions in the section of strips at high speed and under strong pressure.
The processed product must meet very tight tolerances on thickness, flatness, and surface finish. These requirements can only be met if the support bearings rotate with an extremely high degree of precision.
These are bearings with multiple rows of cylindrical rollers characterized by thick outer rings and various construction shapes to meet diverse needs.
Their performance, in addition to being conditioned by extremely high loads, is influenced by the application; in fact, working as support rollers, their outer diameter is exposed to abrasive wear and affects the quality of the product in rolling; therefore, it must be periodically ground and brought to uniform dimensions within the same set of bearings, restoring the geometric parameters of the original support roller.
The quality of the support rollers is ensured primarily by the use of high-purity steels, subsequently hardened following a new procedure that allows for optimal mechanical characteristics, as well as by high precision in mechanical machining and sophisticated measurement methods.
They are produced with tight tolerances and have a better rotation precision than P4.
These characteristics ensure a very high quality of the rolled product in terms of surface finish and flatness.
These bearings have the possibility of being "refurbished" to extend the life of the bearing itself, also allowing for consequent savings in terms of economics and sustainability.
