Bearings for tension leveling and straightening machines for sheet metal
The leveling of sheets consists of applying deformation to a sheet passing between staggered rollers.
During their passage between the rollers, the outer zones of the two surfaces of the sheets undergo first significant elongation followed by considerable narrowing, while the middle fiber remains neutral.
This operation allows for obtaining flat sheets without undulations and internal tensions; it is made possible thanks to the use of backup rollers which have the fundamental task of keeping the leveling rollers straight and ensuring excellent product quality.
This type of bearings is designed and built in various executions that comply with very high quality standards.
Among the main characteristics:
- High-quality stainless steels, combined with highly reliable sealing systems, prevent premature corrosion in the presence of rolling emulsions.
- Dimensional and rotational precision of less than 10 microns, allowing for optimal alignment of the backup roller line and consequently the working roller.
- Surface roughness and optimized profile of the outer surface to avoid damage to the working roller surface at the contact ends with the roller itself.
- Lubrication using specific greases in adequate quantities to reduce maintenance intervals.
- Backup rollers have the possibility of being "refurbished" to extend the life of the bearing itself, allowing for consequent savings in terms of economics and sustainability.
